The Pillow Series explores the form of the decorative throw pillow as both a tool and a symbol. Through material signifiers like butter explosions and body doubles, the pillows allude to past and potential actions. Their ongoing accumulation becomes an act of stockpiling—weapons, resources, ideas—as well as critiquing excess and notions of value .

Found fabrics, and those I’ve dyed with scrap or waste materials, are used to create the base of each pillowcase. Some pillows began as props, others as replicas or stand-ins.
