an ongoing series of experimental natural dye workshops
This project began as a participatory call to revaluate stained textiles, and has evolved with my practice over the years—shifting between levels of color permanence and material sources. Past dyes have included grass clippings, red wine, onion skins, avocado pits, turmeric & coconut oil, black beans, purple sauerkraut, walnuts and a mystery pool of brackish water in Deer Isle, Maine.
